Taking inspiration from the colours of the afternoon, this collection is a tribute to the radical drawings by Nasreen Mohmedi, a pioneering Indian artist who quietly redefined South Asian modernism. Working in close collaboration with the finest weavers in India, a unique modern language in clothing and textiles has been created. Sans motifs and playing with the spacing of lines a poetry of textures unfolds through the use of pleats, folds, layers, sewing, oversewing and the use of controlled folly or lack of design techniques.
